Alma Castillo has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, having started her career as a Construction Administrator for the Clint Independent School District. In 2005, Alma was the Owner Representative for a Clint ISD multi-phase project for which Gilbane Building Company was the contractor. This is where David Kessinger, Gilbane Senior Project Manager and Alma Castillo first met. When David started his own company in 2006, he was determined to bring Alma on board, as her knowledge of construction documents and her attention to detail provided a unique insight into articulating and meeting both the Owner and Contractor’s expectations.

In 2007, Alma joined CK Construction as a Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager. During her time as a Project Engineer, she successfully completed LEED documentation for two projects, Project Vida Administration Building, LEED Certified Platinum and USCIS Remodel El Paso Office, LEED Certified. She also worked on several federal funded projects proving documentation for Section 3 and certified payrolls. Her other responsibilities included submittal review, dissemination of information between field, office, Owner and design team, RFIs, change proposals and accurate and timely preparation of applications for payment.

Alma has always enjoyed numbers and when CK Construction grew and there was an opportunity, she became the Office/Accounting Manager for the El Paso and San Antonio offices. Her responsibilities include: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, Cost Analysis, Budget Oversight, and Weekly Employee Payroll.
